Frequently Asked Questions
Which ski school is suitable for children?
All major ski schools in the region offer group courses for children – for example, in Ehrwald (Tiroler Skischule Ehrwald, Skischule TOTAL), Lermoos (Tiroler Skischule Lermoos, Snowpower), Biberwier, Bichlbach, and Berwang. For the very young or special requests, private lessons are worthwhile.
Do I need to book ski courses in advance?
During peak season (Christmas, Carnival, Easter), courses and private lessons are often fully booked – it’s best to reserve directly with the ski school before your arrival.
Where can I rent skis or e-bikes?
Rental stations are located directly at the valley stations (e.g., Ehrwalder Almbahn, Tiroler Zugspitzbahn, Grubigstein, Marienberg) and in the town centers. Many rental providers also offer a ski depot on the slopes. Filter above for “Ski & Sports Rental” or “Bike & E-Bike Rental”.
Do I need a mountain guide for via ferrata?
For beginners, we recommend a guided tour: mountain guides provide the equipment, know the conditions, and demonstrate the proper technique. Providers like Bergsport TOTAL or the Alpinschule Lermoos have special programs for this.
