Leave your car behind and travel with ease: With the guest card, you can ride the bus for free in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena – in summer to hiking starting points, and in winter to the valley stations. This also includes the Außerfernbahn, taxis, transfer services, as well as gas stations, electric charging stations, and workshops.

Summer & Hiking Bus

With a valid guest card, you can travel for free by bus during both summer and winter throughout the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. Exceptions: Line 150 operates only between Biberwier Silberleithen and Heiterwang Gh. Post, and line 160X is a paid service.

Excursion Bus to Garmisch

With the guest card, you can take the excursion bus from Lermoos and Ehrwald to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in summer – organized by the Zoller Travel Agency in Lermoos (+43 5673 3131).

By Train

The Außerfernbahn connects Garmisch-Partenkirchen with Ehrwald, Lermoos, Bichlbach-Berwang, and Heiterwang to Reutte. Perfect for arriving without a car and for trips to Garmisch or Reutte.

Winter & Ski Bus

Is the bus really free with the guest card?

Yes. All visitors with a valid guest card from the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena can use the bus for free in the entire region during both summer and winter. Exceptions: Line 150 only operates between Biberwier Silberleithen and Heiterwang Gh. Post, and line 160X is subject to fees.

Where can I find the current bus schedule?

Since December 2025, there are no printed bus schedules. You can find the timetables digitally through the app or website "smartride" of the Tirol transport association (VVT). For those without internet access, information can be obtained from the VVT customer center (Tel. 0512 561616) or at the customer center in Reutte (+43 5672 71165).

How do I get to Ehrwald by train?

Ehrwald, Lermoos, Bichlbach-Berwang, and Heiterwang are located on the Außerfernbahn between Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Reutte. From Germany, you typically travel via Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and from Austria via Innsbruck/Garmisch or Reutte. Schedule information: ÖBB +43 5 1717.

Are there transfers from the airport?

Yes, for example, the travel agency Zoller and Shuttle and More in Lermoos or Taxi Strolz in Bichlbach offer transfers to nearby airports and train stations.
