Beim Laisi – holiday apartment near the Ehrwalder Almbahn
Accommodation · Ehrwald
Nestled between the Zugspitze and the Sonnenspitze lies our cosy garden-level holiday apartment – close to the Ehrwalder Almbahn lift and with a bus stop right outside the door.
The comfortable apartment sleeps 2–4 people (+ baby/toddler under 2) and was newly opened in the 2016 winter season.
The apartment
Our advantage for 3–4 people: you share one unit with its own entrance – and automatically have two separate double bedrooms and two bathrooms. So you can holiday together and still have room to retreat. If you travel as a couple, you have the apartment with its double room, bathroom and wardrobe (the 2nd double room “Zugspitze” is then not included as standard and can only partly be booked).
Two separate double bedrooms and two bathrooms
High-quality kitchen-living room with extensive equipment
Two TVs (living room and double room “Zugspitze”) and free Wi-Fi
Garden view from the living room and double room “Zugspitze”
Garden with play area for children and a small terrace with a wonderful view of the Wetterstein massif
The location
Beim Laisi offers ideal conditions for your stay: the Ehrwalder Almbahn, an après-ski hut and the village centre are just a few minutes away on foot; the bus stop right outside the door gets you to other ski areas, cross-country trails, the centre with restaurants and climbing hall or the golf course. Romantically located by a mountain stream and the edge of the forest, you will find peace and relaxation here as well as ideal starting points for hiking, climbing and MTB tours.
Prepared for you
Bed linen, hand/shower towels and table linen
Toilet paper, hairdryer, washing-up liquid & tabs
Linen change depending on the length of stay
Cleanliness and hospitality are very important to me. Should there ever be any complaints or problems, I am on site for you as your host.
I would be delighted to welcome you! Jürgen Laisi Kerber

With approximately 2,600 residents, Ehrwald is the largest village in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena; here, modern infrastructure harmonizes with traditional village structures.
"Relax – forget the everyday..." – this is Ehrwald's vacation motto.
History · Ehrwald
From a village of timber merchants to a Zugspitze destination
1274first mention
994 melevation
around 2,600inhabitants
Ehrwald is first documented in 1274. Unlike most places in the Außerfern region, the first settlers arrived not from the Allgäu, but over the Fern Pass from the Imst area. For centuries, the locals sustained themselves through mining and timber trade for the saltworks in Hall. With the arrival of the first summer visitors and the opening of the Tyrolean Zugspitzbahn in 1926, the village transformed into a vacation spot for both summer and winter.
The origin of the name: Its exact origin is not entirely clear: it is interpreted as "beginning of the forest," "old forest," or, due to the presence of ore deposits, as "ore forest."
An extensive range of slopes and diverse winter activities – fun for the whole family.
Alpine skiing
Slopes for all skill levels around the Ehrwalder Alm – snow-sure up to nearly 3,000 m on the Zugspitze.
Cross-country ski tracks
Well-groomed tracks, including the snow-covered golf course loop (3.8 km, of which approximately 2.7 km is snow-covered).
Winter hiking
Many cleared hiking trails ensure relaxation even in winter.
Tobogganing
Toboggan evenings on the Ehrwalder Alm bring joy for young and old.
Ice skating & curling
Ice rink with public skating, curling, and exciting ice hockey games.
Indoor tennis & climbing
Experience tennis in the most beautiful hall in Tyrol. On the specialized surface "Bross Slide," you can play gently on your joints and muscles, just like on the best clay courts. Reservations can be made at 05673 21193 – racket and ball rental available.
The Ehrwald tennis hall also features a climbing gym with bouldering area.
