The house of Elisabeth and Andreas Kerber is located in the Hof district of Ehrwald, sunny and very quiet with little traffic. The valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn is just a few minutes' walk away, and the ski and local bus stop is about 50 m from the house.
The non-smoking apartments each have two bedrooms and a terrace or balcony, offering plenty of space for families and friends. In winter you start into the ski area almost from the front door, in summer straight onto hikes around the Zugspitze and the Mieming range. Massages can be arranged in the house on request.

From a village of timber merchants to a Zugspitze destination

Ehrwald is first documented in 1274. Unlike most places in the Außerfern region, the first settlers arrived not from the Allgäu, but over the Fern Pass from the Imst area. For centuries, the locals sustained themselves through mining and timber trade for the saltworks in Hall. With the arrival of the first summer visitors and the opening of the Tyrolean Zugspitzbahn in 1926, the village transformed into a vacation spot for both summer and winter.
The origin of the name: Its exact origin is not entirely clear: it is interpreted as "beginning of the forest," "old forest," or, due to the presence of ore deposits, as "ore forest."
